The Iowa Association for Financial Professionals is a nonprofit organization established in the interest of treasury management for the general purpose of providing and maintaining a forum for designated representatives of firms, organizations or individuals for the active and open exchange of ideas, concepts and techniques related to the field of finance and treasury management.

Some of the general purposes of the Iowa AFP include the following:
•    Disseminate treasury management information.
•    Encourage and support the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) in its effort in the legislation before governmental authorities, agencies, or regulatory bodies for the purpose of maintaining proper treasury management controls and regulations.
•    Encourage and support professional industry standards relative to the field of treasury management.
•    Provide the membership with a facility for education and business employment opportunities.
